Go shoppingHer work has appeared in Coal Hill Review, The Feminist Wire, and Crab Orchard Review, among others. She writes fiction and poetry, but her favorite genre is nonfiction. As an occasionally gregarious introvert, she likes to tell stories almost as much as she loves writing them.
She’s a Yooper and Tennessean living in Brooklyn. Katrina is looking for thoughtful writers who are as engaging as their words, open to tiny edits, and willing to push the limits of what they can express on a single page, in black and white.
A former professor, tutor, and ESL teacher, Katrina is a nerd about pedagogy and process. What she wants for LitroNY:
“I’m interested in intersections — where one odd idea meets another. I love narratives that focus on representation and identity. And I’m a process person. I like seeing how things work and how art gets made. So, some of the more exploratory pieces we’ll be looking for are about how writers write, whether we’re talking about where ideas come from, the language and tone we use, or the revision process.”
